Talk Russian was set up as a specialist translation company in 2001 to serve the growing English-Russian, Russian-English market. Our staff now work with clients large and small across the English and Russian speaking worlds.
Our biggest strength is that we translate and proof-read in-house to maintain quality, accuracy and confidentiality.

Yelena moved to the UK in 2001 and continued her career as a Russian Translator and Interpreter. She holds a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting in English Law. Until a few years ago Yelena also enjoyed part-time teaching English as a Foreign Language, which is her second qualification.
Yelena is proud to be a registered member of the Chartered
Institute of Linguists which is one of the professional
organisations for translators in the UK. She is also on the
National Register of Public Service Interpreters.
Yelena also produced a series of Russian language radio programmes,
something she always wanted to try. When she is away from her
desk, she devotes most of her time to her young son.

Larissa is based in Moscow. She has been part of our team
since graduating from the Faculty of Modern Languages at
Kostroma State University
Larissa is involved in both translation and interpreting and
it is the interpreting side of the business that she enjoys
most. “I love meeting people and help them communicate to do
business together. Interpreting is very interesting, even though
it can be stressful at times. As long as the client is happy in
the end, perhaps after very tough negotiations, this is what
matters,” she says. In her leisure time Larissa enjoys ballroom
dancing.
