Certified translations you can verify

With most official translations are now submitted electronically, how can the receiving organisation confirm that a certified translation is genuine?

Talk Russian has introduced an innovative verification system for every certified translation we issue.

Each certified translation now receives its own unique verification reference and a QR code. When the code is scanned, it opens a dedicated verification record hosted on our official website, talkrussian.com. The record allows the person checking the translation to confirm key details, such as the type of document translated, certification date as well as two different references.

This system maintains our clients’ confidentiality as the verification page does not display the document holder’s name, full document number or any of the document’s contents. It reveals only enough information that allows an authorised recipient to establish whether the certification was genuinely issued for that particular translation.

The QR code is an addition to our established certification procedure. Our certified translations will still include a signed certificate of accuracy, our certification stamps, full contact details and the translator’s professional credentials, including membership of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.

For our clients the new system doesn’t bring about any complications. On the contrary, they simply receive a certified translation with an additional layer of protection. For courts, government departments, universities, banks, register offices and other receiving organisations, verification becomes quick and straightforward.

Any translations previously issued by us remain valid as long as the original document has not expired: subject to requirements of specific organisations, translations don’t have an expiry date. But to respond to the realities of electronic document delivery, from now on we produce certified translations that can be independently verified.
