Cambridge and Russian Connections

Cambridge has quite a few Russian connections:

Cambridge University is the alma mater of Vladimir Nabokov a Russian writer, poet, translator and literary critic. It was in Cambridge where he translated Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll into Russian.

Kapitza House in Huntingdon Road, Cambridge, is where the leading Soviet physicist and Nobel Prize laureate Pyotr Kapitza lived when he worked at the Cavendish Laboratory in 1921-1934.
